Hi, I’m Ines Calloway,

About01

Type-led design,
from first sketch
to press check.

I run a one-woman studio in Providence working with publishers, museums, universities and nonprofits. That means book covers and interiors, exhibition graphics, annual reports, magazine layouts, and visual identities built on a custom wordmark.

Every project starts with a free 30-minute call. I send a fixed-fee proposal before anything begins, then work alongside the writer or curator through sketches, proofs and the final press check.

Selected work02

Recent work for small presses, museums and universities.

Covers and interiors for non-fiction, exhibition panels and labels, annual reports that hold up to a full read, and magazine grids rebuilt from the type up.

Recognitions05

Two regional design awards, and an evening class I teach.

I take on a small number of projects at a time, so each one gets the sketch work, the proofing and the press check it needs. Most jobs come from a writer, curator or editor I have worked with before.
